Schwarzweißfotografie. Diese Aufnahme zeigt ein Klassenfoto der Privaten Höheren Schule in Sayn.
Friedrich Krupp gründete im Jahr 1898 eine Höhere Schule in Sayn. In der Bildmitte ist Lehrerin "Fräulein" Anhuth umringt von Schülerinnen und Schülern zu erkennen. Einige Kinder tragen am Hals ihrer Kleidung einen sog. Matrosenkragen. Über das Schulgebäude gibt es keine genaueren Aufzeichnungen. Das Grundstück dazu lag zwischen der ehemaligen Provinzialstraße und der Kreisstraße von Sayn nach Engers.
