Description

Die Fotografie zeigt das Renaissancegrabmal des Daniel Schilling von Lahnstein betend in voller Rüstung. Dieses befindet sich an der östlichen Innenwand des Mariendoms. Oenben sieht man die Wappen von Schilling und von der Leyen, unten von Schoenburg und von Eltz. Gestorben ist der bedeutende Andernacher Ritter am 28. Juli 1541.
Die Inschrift lautet "Anno D(omi)ni 1541 Uff Den 28. Julii Ist Gestorben Der Erenvest Daniel Schilling von Lansten Den Got G.S.A." (Gott gnädig sei Amen)
