Description

Römischer Krieger in kämpfender Bewegung, den Speer in der Rechten, den Schild mit der römischen Wölfin in der Linken.
Die rechteckige Plinthe ist umlaufend mit Akanthus-Fries und Perlstab verziert. Der Papierdrücker oder Briefbeschwerer ist im klassizistischen Stil ausgeführt.
Nach dem Sayner Modellverzeichnis Nr. 127: "Briefhalter: Romulus".
Nach dem Gleiwitzer Preiscourant von 1847 No. 66/67 - 6:
"Fechter, kämpfend mit Speer" als Briefbeschwerer".
Als Pendant gilt der "Fechter, kämpfend mit Schwert". bzw. nach dem Sayner Modellverzeichnis "Tatius".
