Description

Nach einem Starkregenereignis am 05.05.1936 liefen Schlammmassen über den Schulhof und die Straße "Im Ellig" in die Dorfmitte und überschwemmte die Dorfstraße (Hauptstraße).

Die Aufnahme zeigt die Anwohner mit Besen die Schlammmassen in den Straßenabfluß fegen. Rechts ein Dorfbrunnen, über die die Wasserversorgung im Dorf erfolgte. Im Bild Rechts, das Eckhaus gehört zum alten St. Thomashof, der von den Patres aus Prüm/Eifel bewirtschaftet wurde. Dahinter das Fey´sche Pastorat.
