Ein Bajonett, auch Seitenwaffe genannt, trägt jeder Soldat am Koppel und ist eine reine Nahkampfwaffe. Bei Bedarf wird es auf die Mündung des Gewehrs montiert für den Kampf Mann gegen Mann.
