Der lange, rechteckige Halter gehört zum Handdruckapparat "Fortschrift". Er besteht aus zwei Holzbrettern, die durch drei Flügelschrauben gegeneinander gepresst werden. Dazwischen werden die Holzdrucktypen festgehalten. Momentan sind 16 Buchstaben und ein Blindmaterial eingespannt. Mit Farben etwas beschmiert.
