Description

Auf dem Foto ist die Fußballmannschaft von 1930 zu sehen. Sie gehörten der ersten Bodendorfer Fußballmannschaft an, die im Jahre 1919 in der Gaststätte Cholin gegründet wurde. (von links) Hermann Hermann, Johannes Wirtz, Heinrich Manhillen, Fritz Gottschalk, Toni Welsch, Arnold Alfter, Josef Nelles, Lorenz Welsch, untere Reihe: Peter Koll, Josef Büschel und Toni Welsch.

Fritz Gottschalk musste wegen seines jüdischen Glaubens 1942 vor den Nazis nach Amerika fliehen. Seine Eltern wurden zuerst nach Treblinka und dann nach Thereseinstadt deportiert und dort umgebracht.
