Die Fotosammlung war die Arbeitsgrundlage für das Buch "Bilddokumente über Alt-Dürkheim", siehe weiter unten unter "Literatur".

Das Institut Heeger mit Pensionat - Rückfront

Ehemals war es die Schmitt'sche Schule für Mädels. Frl. Schmitt erwarb das Gebäude 1886 von Frl. Mathilde Gross und Co.
Gross ihrerseits hatte es 1879 von Frl. Meline Andrä erworben, die bereits eine Töchterschule darin hatte.
Andrä hatte das Anwesen 1873 von Joh. Lang I Ww. und Kindern erworben.
1872, vor Lang, war in dem Gebäude eine Heilanstalt.
