Einführung von Bgm. Ludwig Schön am 26.04.1961. Aufgrund einer Ausschreibung wurde Ludwig Schön für die Zeit von 1961 bis 30.April 1971 zum hauptamtlichen Bürgermeister gewählt. Ludwig Schön blieb aber nur bis zum 30.04.1964 im Dienst der Stadt und siedelte dann nach Neuwied über. v.l. Landrat Walter Unkrich, Bgm. Schön, Stadtrat Albrecht Brodhag
