Der Sterbezelle liegt nur in digitaler Form vor. Auf diesem Zettel wird erinnert an die Militärzeit und den Einsatz im deutsch-französischen Krieg 1870/1871 und erwähnt, dass er Inhaber des Eisernen Kreuzes war.
Josef Hardt starb nach kurzem schweren Leiden.
