Description

Schwarzweißfotografie, sog. Carte-de-Visite. Dieses Portrait entstand im Jahr 1860 und zeigt den Bendorfer Fabrikanten Moritz Remy.
Moritz Remy (1812-1879) war der Sohn des Bendorfer Fabrikanten Wilhelm Gideon Remy und seiner Ehefrau Jeannette Remy (geb. Hoffmann). Zusammen mit seinem älteren Bruder Viktor und Dr. de la Vigne gründete er an der Chaussee nach Vallendar eine Bier-Brauerei (späterer Standort der Remynol-Fabrik).
